What a start to the New Year, I was up before dawn, which isn’t difficult at this time of the year as it’s not until 8.12am. Today my husband Rod and the two dogs came for a walk with me down the fields towards the river from home. I wasn’t going to take my camera as it was quite grey around 7.15 and it didn’t look as though it would improve even though there was a very heavy hoar frost. But at the last minute I decided to go back for it and I was so glad I did!
As it got lighter the sky changed into a lovely pastel pink and blue pre-dawn, it was stunning and I headed for the bridge to take a few pictures.

As we were heading for home I looked across the flood meadow towards the Stour and the footbridge and the view was very special the whiteness of the landscape and the colour in the sky was once again stunning.

As we turned to go up the field Hambledon Hill was hidden in a layer of mist which would come down in the valley and would cover the valley in a fog for most of the morning.

Beautiful pictures Marilyn.
