I had more or less decided that I wouldn’t make it to the Great Dorset Steam Fair, I hadn’t been well with Shingles and I was just getting over it, I don’t think I could have managed a day wandering the Steam Fair. But friend Judy had friends from New Zealand staying for a few days and being a farmer he wanted to see the fair. The only time they could make it was in the evening and Judy asked me along as she was unsure on where to go so we could make the most of the time we had there.
Of course I didn’t say no as it was and opportunity take some pictures. Still enjoying my Olympus camera it meant I didn’t have bulky heavy gear to carry and it was a good chance to try out the camera. I had my 12-100mm F4 Pro lens on for the whole evening, I didn’t want to change lenses in the smoky, dusty atmosphere, altering the settings as the light faded. An enjoyable couple of hours.
