A lovely morning so we took a trip down to RSPB Arne to have a walk to see what was about. As always it didn’t disappoint although what I hoped to see and what I did see were two different things but it doesn’t matter as it is always a surprise!
We saw three Great Crested Grebes off of Shipstal beach and a Little Egret. I spotted a Glodcrest busy in the Gorse and we managed to watch it for a while, such tiny pretty little birds.
The Grey Squirrels were very active, there are certainly plenty about at Arne. One small Squirrel was not afraid of us and we could get quite close. There were a few Sika deer about although they were all females I’m not sure where all the Stags had gone to.
I spotted what I am pretty sure is a Willow Tit in a tree near the hide. It seemed fairly quiet today not so much bird life as usual but still a lovely walk as always.
