On the 22nd March we had a short trip over to Somerset stopping in a number of places, It was a very bright day with clear blue skies. We called into RSPB Ham Wall, then Westhay and finally the Hawk and Owl Trust. There was quite a number of birds about in the different locations, we were looking to see if these places would be good to visit instead of our usual Ham Wall and Catcott but we decided we still think they are the best. Just our preference.
I took a few pictures but we didn’t stay too long. One of the highlights was spotting the very pale Buzzard on a post as we were driving along. I was driving so I had to stop the car, safely of course! I ended up having to turn round in my seat through the window to take a picture, I knew if I opened the door he would be gone. I never though the picture would turn out but it did what a gorgeous looking bird!
