The weather is changing, we have had a lovely week but tonight the rain is coming in, Oh well hopefully it won’t be too bad.

I thought all the Swallows and Martins had left us but I’ve just been looking out the window and suddenly there are many birds in the sky, perhaps moving down to the coast to cross over tonight.

Yesterday I had to go into Blandford to take some pictures of the town. Of course I had to walk along the river bank on the Stour Meadows just in case! I’m glad I did as I spotted an Otter near the weir. It looked like an adult female although I didn’t get chance to see much of it, just a fleeting glance but I just managed to take a quick snap.

The Kingfishers were also active up and down the river hopefully we will see more of them once the trees are bare. An Egret was perched close to me by the weir, used to people I suppose.
