Sunrise 06.55 Sunset 19.07

The weather has turned quite warm with temperatures up in the late teens.

I’ve decided it’s good to be lazy sometimes. It’s getting darker in the mornings and when I wake up at six it is too dark to go out, it seems to have happened quickly! I decided to stay in bed and Rod and I went out later with the dogs, which ended up to be just before ten.

Anyway back to why it was good, we got down to the little spinney at the bottom of the lane and Rod saw some movement in the river and it seemed to be heading for the footbridge so we rushed round to the bridge and there was the otter, at last, there may have been two. Unfortunately a man came along with his dog and started talking VERY LOUD saying he’d never seen Otters here before, It’s no wonder really…GRR!

The Swallows and Martins are still heading to the coast, they come down to feed on the Stour meadows but many are flying high across us. I for one will miss them.
