I’m getting out and about a bit more although the weather is not that special at the moment with fog in the mornings, even on the hills, so nothing to see at a distance. I still managed to get some pictures when I was walking Tilly in the morning.
I have heard that the Herons are checking out the local Heronry and starting to build their nests alongside the Little Egrets. I saw three on the Stour near Bere Marsh. I must get up to the heronry before the leaves are on the trees, it’s fairly well hidden even before the leaves come out!
Spring is definitely moving on, the Snowdrops are going over and other spring flowers are starting to appear, a few primroses and Celandines and a little Violet in the churchyard.
The Stour at the Wilson Haines bridge was different from the frosty mornings a little while ago but no less atmospheric.
