Cloudy and sun and quite a warm morning.

Fairly quiet again this morning, a few small birds about.

What I did see was a pair of swans with two cygnets. This was pleasing as they have lost their cygnets or haven’t had any for the last two or three years and it was probably down to the bad springs, we think their nest may have been flooded out particularly last year, but thankfully they have two large cygnets that hopefully will get through the winter. I took this image from the footbridge over the Stour it was still a little dark.

When we pass Bere Marsh farm on the trailway we pass a herd of goats, a Billy with his ladies. The billy is twice the size of his ladies and looks quite a bruiser! I wondered what breed they were and looked it up. It loos like they are Boer goat developed in South Africa in the early 1900s. See Wikepedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boer_goat
