After all the rain and grey weather of the winter we are now into a spell of good weather, just when we can’t go to far from home! Never mind I can enjoy my local patch although I am thinking of the Somerset Levels, the Bluebells on Okeford Hill coming out soon and many other places I hoped to visit this spring. What is important is making sure we help to curb this virus, my part is minuscule to what others are facing everyday.

On the 25th March it was another glorious sunrise if a little foggy, but the sunrise was special as I walked from home over towards Bere Marsh and towards the burial ground on the trailway. I was lucky to have a glimpse of the Barn Owl as he went back to roost.

Just a short walk that morning and then home for a cup of tea and breakfast.

Because the nights have been so clear I thought I would go outside I the garden after dark and try a couple of night time images. I was quite happy with my images, you can clearly see Venus and also a satellite close to it. Something I want to try more of as we are lucky to have fairly dark skies in the back of the garden and no street lights in the front.
