A new week and another trip to Poole hospital for Rod’s treatment, after today we are down to eight more visits. We won’t miss them but we will miss our walk through Poole Park on the way to the hospital. I wasn’t sure if it was worth taking the camera this morning as it was very dull with rain in the air but it would be a good test for the camera. In the winter I almost gave up on trying for wildlife with my old camera and 300mm zoom lens.
We saw a couple of different birds than we had seen before as soon as we got there. A couple of Plovers Turnstones were walking on the edge of the lagoon, I took a couple of distant pictures thinking they would disappear when one of the came walking close towards me and I managed to get a picture.
The next new bird we saw was a Goose possibly a Greylag goose, he was with some Canada Geese and there were plenty of them.

Then we spotted a single Moorhen, we see lots of Coots every day but this was the first Moorhen.

Just as it was time to make our way to the hospital I noticed a Little Egret on the side of the reeds, I had to hang over the edge of the lagoon to get an image.
Then a Swan decided to stretch his wings.

Another interesting half hour walking through the park, although it was very dull it was easier as I wasn’t trying to take pictures into the sun, you can’t have everything!
