After a day of heavy rain on Sunday, Easter Monday turned out to be a lovely day. The rain has done some good and you can see things grow. I spotted more flowers out Jack by the hedge and both pink and white Comfrey.

As I was down by the footbridge over the stour I heard what I thought was a Kingfisher and sure enough soon after one flew quickly down the river. As I walked back along Legal Lane towards home I noticed a number of Goldfinches and then a Wren right on top of a bush in full view singing away. Then the highlight a pair of Bullfinches were just in front of me flying from hedge to lane and back again for quite some way before disappearing into the field. I do hope they are nesting.

I decided it would be nice to take a look at the Bluebells so we had a short trip out to Piddles Wood around 10 in the morning, it was quite busy with dog walkers but I managed to get a few pictures. A Buzzard was flying overhead and I spotted a Blackcap in the undergrowth and flying around on the Bluebells were a number of Orange tipped butterflies, I tried to take a picture but they were too quick for me!
