I always love seeing the lambs near the village every year. The sheep are brought off the hill around the end of March and the Lambs are born in the open, when the weather should be more kind. This year though we have had some very cold weather with freezing nights so it must be hard for the mums and the lambs.
I went down Melways lane to see them on Monday 12th April on my early morning walk, the first lambs I saw were the black lambs, I think they maybe Black Mountain sheep.
There were a few lambs in the fields but it looks like there are still many more to be born, I hope the weather warms up for them soon and they can enjoy the spring.
