It’s early into August now and I am still seeing the Hares when I go out. They have now cut the top field so I can spot them if they are there early in the morning. I spotted three of them from a distance in the field and then three Roe deer ran across the field, a doe and her two nearly fully grown young, it looked as though something had disturbed them but I never spotted anything and it didn’t seem to bother the Hares.

I carried on my walk with Tilly up through the path with trees and hedgerow on both sides until I got to the base of the hill, there is a place you can look over at the top of the field, usually there are Rabbits there and at first glance that’s what I thought I saw until after a second look it was a Hare fairly close grooming itself. Tilly as always waited patiently while I took a number of pictures and then we moved on. The Hare had no idea we were there and that’s how I like it!
