Already another month gone and it certainly has had lots of ups and downs with the weather, I’ve only been out taking landscape images on one morning this month, the weather hasn’t been at all good for sunrise and dawn images, although there have been lovely sunsets, staying local it’s difficult get a good composition that I’m happy with. With this it means I have been concentrating on the wildlife which has been no hardship and I enjoy just as much.
It was a lovely morning on 30th March, there had been promise of mist at dawn and again I was hoping to get out for some landscape shots but when I got out before dawn it was cold with a promise of clear blue skies but no mist! So I decided to head for the river as sometimes the mist rises from the river around dawn, but it was not to be. So instead I headed up the Trailway and then on to the Heronry. There was plenty of action with Herons bringing in nesting material, also there were Little Egrets nesting there. The Heronry is very well positioned and in a short while once the leaves are out it will be difficult to see. With my long lens I am able to take images at a distance across the fields not to disturb them. It amazes me how such big birds can manoeuvre in the tree tops, I always enjoying watching and hearing them every year.
