August always seems to be a quiet time of the year on the wildlife front; although I did have some exciting Hare encounters earlier in the month. The birds are still very quiet when I go out for my early morning walks except for the noisy Rooks in the harvested wheat fields.
When I’ve had a chance I’ve headed down the lane close to home looking for insects mainly working the Angelica flowers that are still flowering at the sides of the lane. I never know what I’m going to see. I’m enjoying searching for them it’s slows me down making me look closer at the vegetation and what might be in there.
Some are taken early in the morning with dew still on them easier to take a picture as they don’t move so fast!
