Mere Down Falconry
On Saturday 10th October I was invited by a friend to go with members of Shaftesbury Camera Club to Mere Down Falconry in the afternoon. Not quite nature photography but a chance to get close to some of our native birds and others. The owner Allan also helps with rehabilitation
Hay cutting
On the 21st June we were having our lunch at midday in the conservatory at the back of our house when the farmer came into the field below and started cutting the grass for hay. We both thought that maybe the Buzzards etc. might just be around and come in
Early January

It’s getting to the time of year when the wildlife is getting more active and there are certainly plenty of signs of birds pairing or squabbling for territories, the Rooks are already nesting. Some mornings have been grey and not very interesting for landscapes so I’ve turned my camera on
