I started taking images of the wildflowers trees and grasses as the lockdown started as I went on my one a day walks, I made one for March as a record of what I see close to home. I decided to do the same for April, there were quite a few more flowers about so I did two! I have always loved British wildflowers, understated but beautiful even the so called weeds.
It always reminds me of my mum, I can just remember wandering the lanes in the spring and summer from Traveller’s Rest Farm near Durweston where I was born and after that Old Warren near Bryanston. She always told me the names of the flowers and which ones we shouldn’t pick or those that were poisonous and it’s something I always recall, very special.
