Better weather – End of April

I’m trying to catch up once again I always appear to have something to do before I can get round to updating my diary. At last the weather has changed for the better although April was very mixed and cold at times the flora and fauna decided that they must get on with life and growing!

It was lovely to get the first colour of spring and the Oil seed rape fields have brightened up my mornings and the Oak trees have come out earlier than usual and definitely before the Ash and as the old saying goes:

“If the oak before the ash, then we’ll only have a splash, if the ash before the oak, then we’ll surely have a soak”?

We may be in for a dry summer but time will tell!

Suddenly the fields have become full of sheep with their Lambs around Hanford every field has them in and it’s been lovely seeing them although for the start of their lives the weather was awful, cold and wet but they survived to the better weather.

We are still seeing our Deer family in the field behind our house, they seem very relaxed even though people are moving about in their gardens they slowly move down and disappear in the hedge and are also around at night.
