The mild weather didn’t last, I was just getting on with the garden clearing and the greenhouse is starting to fill up when the weather decided go back to winter this weekend. The temperatures have plummeted and we have snow, at least we didn’t have the frozen rain like the other week so I was able to go for a walk. Although I was meant to go to the Photography Show in Birmingham today, Sunday 18th but because of the weather we had to cancel.

It was very heavy snow when I first went out with Tilly but I tucked my camera under my coat so I could take some photos, I like to go out before anyone else has trodden on the new snow! It was very grey but pleasant enough to walk in and Tilly enjoyed it!

After breakfast I decided to go for another walk as the snow had eased, the skies were still grey but it was quite pleasant. I headed towards Shroton Brake and the Stone Circle. It was very grey towards Spread Eagle Hill and Shaftesbury with plenty of snow on the hills.

I decided to walk round the base of the Hill rather than go back the same way and found it quite easy to walk I just had to be careful not to slip. There were plenty of people climbing up the hill with sledges, the snow brings them out!

When I got back to the village as I walked across Manor Field the wind got up and there was little whirlwinds swirling the snow.
